On this tour, you will learn about how Humboldt Park served as a “living laboratory” for Prairie style landscape architect Jens Jensen in the early 20th century. You will stroll along the park’s historic Prairie River, and you’ll see Jensen’s office and nearby home where he lived with his family. Humboldt Park’s fine collection of public artworks will also be highlighted including World’s Fair Bison by Edward Kemeys and Alexander von Humboldt Monument by Felix Gorling.
